Owner worksheet
Give your first AI employee one clear job.
Five questions turn a vague idea into a brief you can check. Fill it in, then copy, download or print it for whoever does the work.
“Help with marketing” is hard to do well and hard to check. “Turn this week’s job photos into draft posts for me to approve” is a job: you know what good looks like, and you can see the result before anything goes out.
Start with one job you would happily check the first few times. The same brief works for an AI tool, a new hire or an outside service.
Fill it in
Your one-job brief
Write in your own words. Short answers are fine.
Or start from an example. It replaces all five answers, and you can edit it or undo it.
One job, in a sentence or two.
Where the facts come from, and anything it must leave out.
The steps it can take without asking you.
The moments that need your decision.
What you will look at before anything goes out.
Your brief as plain text
This worksheet doesn’t send your answers to us or store them for later. Copy, download or print a copy before leaving.
Using the brief
Hand it over with the job. Check the first few results against question 5, and change one line at a time when something is off. If a job keeps needing your decision, move it to question 4 instead of hoping it gets better.
The examples show the kind of work you could ask for. They are not results from any product, and the brief works with any assistant or tool.
